4 Boys, 4 Blessings

Better Late Than Never

We blessed Truman in October but he took a nap and we never got around to taking his picture in his blessing outfit. He barley fit into the suit two weeks ago, we couldn't even button the back buttons. We have taken a picture of every other boy in the suit so we had to do the same for Tru. It was cold outside and he wasn't too excited about having his picture taken.

Dan and Truman. Richard doesn't like to eat olives but he does enjoy sticking them on his fingers.

I'm not sure what he saw outside but he was very interested in it.
Truman's not crawling yet but he is rolling, sitting up and already has his first two teeth.

Christmas 2011

Unfortunately these first three pictures of us decorating the tree were taken two days before Christmas. We were holding out to buy a tree until we had our floors replaced, but alas, the second shipment of flooring was defective. Still no floors after almost three months! Thank you Lumber Liquidators. Dan finally broke down and bought a fake tree. We have loved the smell of a real tree the past 9 years, but the mess of needles and a few trees being pulled over by small babies has sold us on the idea of having a fake tree.

Don't ask me why Richard isn't wearing a shirt, he really likes wearing as little as possible. He is such a funny kid, he says a lot of hilarious things. A while ago he said, "This dinner is ruining my dessert appetite!" We could make a book out of his sayings. He is very into sharks, and wildlife in general right now. He spends hours drawing pictures of animals and other scenes, he has literally gone through reams of print paper drawing things that pop into his mind.

Truman relaxing as we decorate the tree. Richard making labels for our Christmas Eve present opening.
Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell's House. All the grandkids sat semi-still for a few seconds..
Uncle Eric entertains us with his dance moves. Aunt Sarah and Uncle Eric.
James and Preston. Cute Eva.

Looking at the Santa Tracker before going to bed on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Morning. A white Christmas! A little bit of Utah in Tennessee.
Opening presents
Truman loved the exersaucer we borrowed from Aunt Sarah and Uncle Paul.

Christmas breakfast.
Fun in the snow Christmas day.
We left out sleds in Utah so the boys just ran and slid down the hill.

Richard's Thanksgiving Lunch, Truman, and Adam's 7th Birthday

Richie was so excited to have us come to his school to eat lunch with him.

Sweet Truman is growing quickly, he is 6 months old and has finally started to sleep through the night.

Adam celebrated his 7th birthday. Time goes by so quickly, it seems like just yesterday that he was Truman's size.
He is such a great little guy. During family home evening we were talking about the story of Samson and we were
discussing how God will punish those who don't keep their promises. Adam said enthusiastically that if he ever were
to be punished he would hope that God would give him hiccups for a day. He is such a sweet, shy, caring, kid, he looks
out for his brothers and is a joy to have in our home.

Richard blew out Adam's candle once or twice before it was officially blown out by Adam.

Dinner & A Bath

Sam is still in the annoying habit of throwing all of the food he doesn't want to eat all over our floor. We have told him to stop over and over, he seems to understand that it is wrong, yet still acts as if he doesn't care if we are upset. He has some sort of compulsion to not have anything on his tray. We hope this comes to and end soon . . . it's a good thing he is so cute.
