Before Sam was born we took a trip to our favorite bed and breakfast in Utah, the Blue Boar Inn. This cozy little getaway is nestled in the foothills of Midway and is full of the Swiss charm that Midway is famous for. The rooms are are themed around a particular famous author. We have stayed in the Charles Dickens, Emily Dickinson, and Robert Frost rooms. The best part about the inn is the food! The dinners are the best we have ever had and the breakfasts are amazing as well. The entire breakfast menu is included in the price of your room so you can have as much as you want of whatever you want and the menu spans from steak and salmon to omelets and pancakes. Midway is a piece of heaven on earth, it is beautiful almost any time of year. If you have a chance to get away from the kids for a night, try the Blue Boar!
We took an amazing trip to Vegas this past November. It actually would have been better if it were somewhere other than Vegas, like on the beach, but the giant suite, incredible live show, delicious food, and nice views made the trip pretty memorable. I think we could fit every other hotel room we have stayed at inside our suite at Mandalay Bay. It was almost kind of funny that it was so large, most of the space was just not practical but it was still fun to feel like high rollers for three nights:) We went to the Cirque du Soleil show called "O" at the Bellagio. It was the most incredible show either of us had ever been to. There was so much to take in, you could go to the show a dozen times and catch something new every time. If you ever have the chance to see this show it is worth the high price tickets. We took a limo to the show and had the best seats in the house for the performance. Our last night of the trip we went back to the Bellagio to eat at a restaurant called "Olives." The food was delicious and we got to sit out on the outdoor patio that overlooks the famous Bellagio fountains. I think this was one of only two multi-night getaways we have taken since we were married. We had a great trip!
Sam is almost 10 months old now, but I still want to post some of the pictures we took of him back at five months. We love this little guy, he truly is a joy to have around. He is so happy and loves to sit and watch his brothers play around the house. His two bottom teeth were just starting to come in when we took these photos. His two middle bottom teeth are full grown now, but we are still waiting for his two front teeth to come through.
