The Birthday Boy

Today is Dan's Birthday. It is a day we all look forward too, well everyone but Dan I think :). The kids love making Daddy's day special and always think of fun things to make him. While I was decorating for the day this morning Richie was busy making Dan an 'Angry Bird' card that he wanted to hang on the front door. That wasn't quite enough so he made some birds out of legos and added them around the card for a real 3-D effect. He was so excited to show it to Dan. It just shows me what a great Dad Daniel is. The boys LOVE him and just want to do things with him. It was getting late last night and Adam wanted Dan to go out to do some 'backyard adventure', but Richie had Dan drawing Angry Birds so he couldn't go with Adam. Adam was SO sad and so we struck a compromise, I would finish the bird picture and Adam and Richie would go out with Dad. He is Mr. Popular around here for sure! It is so fun to see Sammy's face light up when he hears the front door open and he knows it is "Daddy"! Truman is following his older brothers in his adoration for their Dad. He loves to play with Daddy anytime. Not only is Dan a fabulous Dad is a wonderfully sweet husband who even lets me win at Card Monopoly every once and a while. He works hard at work and works hard at home making our home a place we all want to be. He is a true friend and I am so grateful he is Mine! Happy Birthday Daniel!!!! We LOVE You!!!!!!

Atlanta Temple Open House

We visited the newly remodeled Atlanta Temple the last Saturday before it was closed to the public. My dad was one of the tour guides so we were given a behind the scenes tour of the temple. It had been ten years since we had been back to the temple we were married in. It is incredibly beautiful inside, and they have done an beautiful job of landscaping the out side as well. They brought in dozens of mature japanese maples to landscape the grounds.

Random Pictures of the Kids

We love our boys! They are so much fun, and so challenging at the same time . . .

Richard sitting in timeout. We loved that he had put the little Eeyore tail in his underwear.

Truman is crawling, well he does a sort of army crawl. He pulls himself across the floor without ever really getting up on his knees. He is the only one of the four that has ever gotten around this way for an extended period of time.
The theme of most of sweet Truman's life. He has been getting better the older he gets. There had been a lot less crying the last few months.

Richie writing about his trip to Florida.
"For summer vacation I am going to Coco Beach. I want to collect sea shells."
