Truman turned one on July 1st. To say that his first year has been challenging would be an understatement. He has done enough crying for at least three babies. The first months of crying were mostly brought on by his lactose allergy, and the other 6 months or so, he has been tried by his teeth, or some other ailment that has eluded us. Overall, he is just a sensitive baby; if one of his brothers even lightly touches him, he flies into a crying fit. I don't want to paint too bleak of a picture though, he is happy a lot too. His teeth are almost all in and we are praying that he will start crying less once that pain is over. He is a very sweet boy! His temperament (minus the crying), reminds us of Adam. A somewhat quiet, deep-thinking little boy, that isn't as shy as Sam, but more shy than Richard.
We had a nice, quiet birthday party for Truman at home.

Truman's first birthday cake. Oatmeal chocolate chip.

He was very intrigued by the candle

Richard drew an Angry Bird picture for Truman's birthday gift.

He didn't eat very much cake, but still managed to get pretty messy.

We love this baby boy!
